Punta Cana

Punta Cana is the most visited destination of the Caribbean. Located in the east of the Dominican Republic, bathed by the Atlantic Ocean and with temperatures ranging from 20 º C in winter to 32 º C, it is the perfect place to spend a wonderful vacation.
Punta Cana is made up of the areas (from south to north) of Cap Cana (Juanillo), Punta Cana, Cabeza de Toro, Bavaro, El Cortecito, Arena Gorda, Macao and Uvero Alto. Today, Punta Cana has become one of the best options for those looking for perfect beaches, rest and relaxation.

- Punta Cana-also offers activities for the more adventurous. One may rent a 4x4 and venture outside the resort to discover a magnificent world of caves, mangroves, and deserted beaches with coconut trees in the nearby provinces of Hato Mayor, the Seibo. One may also visit Altos de Chavon, Bayahibe and Isla Saona near La Romana.
- The Cortecito, located between Punta Cana-Bavaro and Macao, is a charming small town. Nearby one will find Manati Park, boasting wildlife and flora typical of the Dominican Republic and the house of Ponce de Leon near Boca de Yuma, a good choice for eating fresh fish on the beach. Crafts vendors walk along the beaches of the hotels offering their products, and there are also some souvenir shops located on the beach.
- The Samaná peninsula has three main cities, Santa Bárbara de Samaná, popularly known as Samaná, Las Terrenas and Las Galeras in the north: approximately 600 square kilometers of land. Of the three cities, perhaps the most famous is Samaná, as it is the destination chose by the humpback whales from the Atlantic to mate and give birth to their young; one may find organized excursions to this destination for whale watching.
- Boca Chica is a small fishing village with a small population, small shops, restaurants overlooking the sea and a beautiful beach, ideal for a relaxing day. Barahona is the most biodiverse destination of all the Dominican Republic. Barahona is located in the Pedernales Peninsula, a peninsula south of the country with long coastlines bathed by the Caribbean Sea, with three national parks. Barahona area has the largest lake in the entire Caribbean, Lake Enriquillo, the lowest point of the entire Caribbean, about 40 feet below sea level, resulting in an area that is a very warm and completely uninhabited desert. Do not forget the tourism phenomenon called "Barahona Magnetic Pole" and the existence of wild crocodiles. It is the ideal destination to get lost in the rugged coastline, swim in its crystalline water coves, and explore the desert landscape that dominates the Pedernales Peninsula, which is also rich in fauna.
- The town Higuey, located some 50 miles from the Costa del Coco, features the Basilica of Our Lady of Altagracia, patron saint of the Dominican people. It's a center of pilgrimage for the faithful Dominicans especially during the month of January to celebrate the day of the patron.
